Bowtop This beautiful day vardo was built to be a fair stall for a well known tarot reader. After many years it ended up in my barn, and I forgot all about it. I always meant to find time to do the renovations but now 6 years later it is done. |

Openlot Openlot waggon in excellent condition inside and out. The top has everything it should have - cupboards, table, pull out bed, mirrored doors under bed. The paint work is very good, gold gilt everywhere inside and out. The waggon is like new and looks as good if not better than most full-size waggons. It went from the North East to Appleby and back by road in 2009. Can be pulled by a pony, it is that light. No time wasters, genuine buyers only. You know what they cost to get built and painted as well as how long it takes to get done. Comes with steps and shafts Contact Tom for further details: 01132 701236 |

Howcroft Showmans Wagon Circa 1882, this magnificent wagon is one of two originally built by Howcroft of West Hartlepool for Bartlett's Steam Fair, a New Forest-based showman family. Pulled originally by a Burrell steam engine Philadelphia, the wagon was purchased in the late 1940s by the New Forest artist Eryl Vize, from whose daughter I purchased it. The famous book 'Wanderers of the New Forest' by Juliette de Bairacli-Levy was partly written in it. Restored but almost entirely original, it has a bed chamber (6ft 6" long and 4ft 6" wide), with a living area of 8ft 4" long and 6ft 6" wide. Its mollicroft roof is above the unusually preserved arched rails. Overall dimensions are: The fire place has the original stove enamel design with mahogany surround and an etched mirror above. Fitted cupboards are all original and have shelving inside. Also included are a chest of drawers, a plate rack and two trunks, along with two shield coach lamps and brackets. The inside is stripped wood and ready for your own imagination... Location Contact: |
